Board your vehicle and begin the overnight drive to Shimla, leaving the city lights behind as the mountains draw closer.
Arrive in Shimla in the morning and freshen up before continuing your drive towards Chitkul. The road winds through the breathtaking Sangla and Kinnaur Valleys, with the Baspa River accompanying you for much of the way. You will pass through the gateway of Kinnaur before reaching Chitkul, famously known as the last Indian village before the China border. Check into your accommodation, unwind, and spend the evening around a bonfire sharing stories with your group. Overnight stay in Chitkul, Rakcham, or Sangla.
Start your day with a magnificent sunrise over the Himalayan peaks. After breakfast, visit the iconic Hindustan ka Akhiri Dhaba and the Mathi Temple before beginning your scenic drive to Kalpa. After breakfast, proceed to Kaza, stopping at the dramatic Dhankar Monastery perched on a cliff overlooking the Spiti Valley. You may also take a short trek to Dhankar Lake if time permits. Arrive in Kaza by afternoon and check into your accommodation. Spend the evening exploring the local market and acclimatising to the high altitude. Overnight stay in Kaza.
After breakfast, set out to explore the gems of Spiti. Visit Key Monastery, a 1,000-year-old spiritual retreat with panoramic valley views. Continue to Kibber Village, known for its scenic beauty and wildlife, and cross the spectacular Chicham Bridge, one of Asia's highest suspension bridges. Later, visit Langza, famous for its fossil fields and the towering Buddha statue, followed by Hikkim, home to the world's highest post office, and Komic, one of the highest motorable villages in the world. Return to Kaza in the evening. Overnight stay in Kaza.
After breakfast, check out and drive towards Chandratal, the legendary Moon Lake. The route crosses the dramatic Kunzum Pass, offering sweeping views of the Spiti and Lahaul valleys. Upon arrival at Chandratal, set up camp by the lakeside and spend the afternoon soaking in the surreal beauty of this high-altitude glacial lake. Enjoy a memorable evening under a sky full of stars. Overnight stay in camps near Chandratal.
After an early breakfast, begin your final stretch towards Manali. The drive takes you through the Atal Tunnel, an engineering marvel that connects Lahaul to the Kullu Valley. Arrive in Manali by afternoon and continue your journey back to Delhi. The Spiti Valley group expedition concludes as you reach Delhi the following morning, carrying with you memories of a lifetime.
