After an early breakfast, begin the most spectacular stretch of the journey. Cross the Atal Tunnel into Lahaul Valley and continue through Sissu, Gramphu, Chhatru, and Batal before crossing the mighty Kunzum Pass at 4,551 metres. After breakfast, set out to explore the cultural heart of Spiti. Visit Key Monastery, a 1,000-year-old spiritual landmark, and continue to Kibber Village. Cross the Chicham Bridge, one of Asia’s highest suspension bridges, and visit Langza, famous for its fossil fields. Later, stop at Hikkim, home to the world’s highest post office, and Komic, one of the highest motorable villages. Return to Kaza by evening. Dinner and overnight stay in Kaza.
After breakfast, check out and drive towards Chandratal, the legendary Moon Lake. The route crosses Kunzum Pass again, offering sweeping views of the Spiti and Lahaul valleys. Upon arrival, walk approximately 1.5 km from the parking area to reach the lake. Spend the afternoon soaking in the surreal blue waters surrounded by snow-capped peaks. Enjoy a memorable evening under a sky full of stars. Dinner and overnight stay in Swiss camps near Chandratal.
Wake up early to witness the breathtaking morning beauty of Chandratal before departing for Manali. The drive takes you through Batal, Chhatru, Gramphu, Sissu, and the Atal Tunnel. Arrive in Manali by evening and check into the hotel. Dinner and overnight stay in Manali.
